Essence Colour Up Shine On Lipstick Review

I am a matte girl lipstick but that changed when my acne medication (Isotretinoin) sucked out the moisture from my lips. I was initially drawn to the Essence Velvet Matte Lipstick because of my colleague at work. I went to buy one and noticed the Essence Colour Up Shine On Lipstick. I was intrigued and decided to buy one as well. I combined both lipstick and my lips looked bomb. (Well, at least to my eyes. Before I go on details, why don't we visit the claims for the Essence Colour Up Shine On Lipstick.

My preference: I have been liking sheer shiny lipstick because my lips are dry

The lipstick is sheer when applied but buildable.

Essence Colour Up Shine On lipstick Swatches

Should I say it? Should I? Well... I am actually obsessed with this lipstick. The first shade I bought is 11 Creme Brulee. This my be the first lipstick I am able to finish for a long time. I have been always switching lip products that I don't tend to finish one. This particular shade is actually a perfect everyday lip color. I also got myself 12 Behind the scenes and 08 Flaming red.

12 Behind the scenes is a little too brown for everyday use. (I prefer nude-ish color of lippies) 08 Flaming red is perfect for those who are scared to wear red lipstick. It will give you enough red color to make your lips stand out. I wish there were more colors available in local stores here in Dubai. By the way, you can buy Essence make in up V-perfumes stores and Ansar Mall. You may also buy online from souq.com and noon.com.

Pros:

*Can't beat the price at AED 12

*Very moisturizing to the lips.

*Very smooth to glide on the lips

*It only faded on my lips when I had my lunch

*Love the packaging! I honestly feel that the design is somewhat classy. It does not look it's price. I have been carrying these lipstick for a while now and mine does not have any scratches.

Cons:

*Nothing I can think of. If anything, the sticker with the bar code and the shade name already faded. But I feel like most lipsticks will have this issue. (Diba?)

*Availability may be a con. I wish Carrefour would carry this brand.
